Dr. Bailey received his
Bachelor of Science degree from Fairfield University in 1971 and
graduated Valedictorian from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in
1979. Dr Bailey has worked as a Chiropractic Physician and one of the
Clinical Directors of Physicians Health and Injury Centers, Danbury CT
until his recent move to his Brookfield CT office.
Dr. Bailey lectures
frequently on diverse topics such as the conservative treatment of
traumatically-induced injuries of the spine, the prevention and
treatment of work-related injuries and chiropractic health care - a
natural approach for the entire family.
Dr Bailey has completed a
300-hour diplomate program in "Chiropractic Rehabilitation of the Spine
and Extremities" through Northwestern College of Chiropractic.
Additionally, Dr Bailey is certified as a "Golf Doctor", completing a
12-hour Continuing Education Seminar co-sponsored by New York
Chiropractic College and www.backtobasicsgolfacademy.com. Due to his
expertise in tennis, Dr. Bailey also successfully treats a lot of tennis
elbow and other sports injuries.
Dr.
Shay is board-certified and
completed his doctoral work at Palmer College of Chiropractic. He brings
with him an extensive background in sports injuries and musculoskeletal
rehabilitation by providing an integrated health approach – combining
chiropractic care, nutrition and personalized exercise programs.
Dr. Marder brings with him
many years of experience and is Board Certified in family medicine since
1994. His special medical interests include preventive medicine and
patient education on the importance of exercise and healthy eating. Dr.
Marder graduated with his BS from Monmouth College West Long Branch, NJ
in 1977 and earned his MD degree from Georgetown University, Washington,
DC in 1981; completed his internship In Internal Medicine at Cooper
Hospital/University Medical Center and his residency in Family Medicine
at the Mid-Hudson Family Health Services Institute.
Dr. Marder began his
medical career in 1982 as a USAF Flight Surgeon, and currently devotes
most of his time as a Primary Care Physician. Dr. Marder’s medical
experience also includes Emergency Room Physician and contracted
Physician for a teen drug rehabilitation center. Dr. Marder’s personal
interests include snowboarding, skiing and other outdoor activities with
his Labrador Retrievers.
Francis Dunne Francis earned his
Associates degree in physical therapy from Miami-Dade Community College,
as a member of Phi Theta Kappa. He received his Bachelor’s Degree from
Florida International University. His thirty years of experience in the
field of physical therapy give Francis experience in many settings,
including home health, rehabilitation centers, and hospitals. He has a
particular interest in Orthopedic medicine. Francis is caring and always
devoted to helping his patients reach their full potential. Francis
enjoys working on cars, attending antique car shows, listening to music,
especially traditional jazz and blues and reading.
Karla Alstranner
graduated in 1978 with a Bachelor's degree
from the Evergreen State College in Olympia, Washington. At that time
she studied under the well known biochemist/nutritionist, Jeffrey Bland
Ph.D. Continuing her education, Karla graduated from the University of
Bridgeport in 1982 with a Master's Degree in biochemistry/nutrition.
Karla has worked as a nutrition consultant in Fairfield County for the
past 20 years.
Patricia Singer
holds a Master of Science Degree in Acupuncture from the Swedish
Institute of Health Sciences in New York City. She is a Connecticut
State Licensed Acupuncturist (L.Ac), Nationally Board Certified and a
Diplomat in Acupuncture (Dipl. Ac.) certified by the National
Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM),
a Connecticut State Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT), a Certified
Instructor in Zen Shiatsu with the AOBTA and an Ordained Interfaith
Minister.
Patricia has maintained a
private practice since 1981. She specializes in Classical Acupuncture,
Zen Shiatsu, and Chinese Medical Aromatherapy. She works with
individuals, children and families. Since 1985 she has taught Zen
Shiatsu and various healing workshops, facilitates woman's circles and
meditation groups. Her experience includes specializing in woman’s
issues: infertility, PMS, painful periods, pregnancy and menopause. She
also uses Chinese Medical Aromatherapy, making specialized blends and
liniments that are then used on specific acupuncture points in between
treatments. Working in a field as vast and ancient as Chinese Medicine,
Patricia continues to study various aspects of Chinese medicine with
Jeffrey Yuen, who is an 88th generation Taoist priest of the Jade Purity
School, Lao Tsu sect and a 26th generation Taoist priest of the Complete
Reality School, Dragon Gate sect. She has completed post-graduate
courses in Advanced Acupuncture, Chinese Medical Aromatherapy, Chinese
Stone Medicine and Chinese Dietary Therapy.
Peter Heimuller
is a graduate of the Alpha School
of Massage in Port St Lucie, Florida. After a 3-month internship, he
began his career in the office of Dr Larry Ross, a chiropractor, in Ft
Pierce. Soon thereafter, he worked at Studio Gabriel Day Spa for 2
years. Peter then went to Manchester, England to study at the Steiner
Institute, and worked onboard the Renaissance 2 cruise ship. When
Peter's tour was over in the Mediterranean, he returned to Connecticut.
Since then Peter has continued his work in Dr. Bailey's office, several
local businesses, and in people's homes as well as his own. He has
continued to expand his knowledge and practice with advanced degrees
including: Certified Myoskeletal Alignment Technique, Reiki 1 & 2, Deep
Tissue & Neuromuscular Therapy, Carpal Tunnel and other Nerve Entrapment
Syndromes, and is the owner of www.cloud9massagect.net.
Jo-Ann Meza is a graduate of the International Institute of
Reflexology. Her training is in the Ingham Method. She completed her
certification in October of 2008. She is continuing to expand her
education by studying clinical aromatherapy.
